Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list on self-awareness.

66. How would you describe your personal style?

Eclectic.  No matter what I do, I'm never all of anything.  I always bring in something of myself, so things get mixed around.  But I'm very good at cherry-picking the best of available options ... where "available" can include things that are 50,000 years out of fashion or were invented in another dimension.  If it can be made of local resources with skills I currently possess, and it's better than what other people are offering, I'm very likely to make it myself.

Fandom: The Avengers
Characters: JARVIS, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts.
Medium: Poetry
Warnings: Past Trauma, Flashbacks.
Summary: JARVIS muses over his feelings about Clint.
Notes: No Sex, Intimacy, Non-Sexual Intimacy, Asexuality, Aromanticism, Relationships, Friendship, Team as Family, Avengers Family, Artificial Intelligence, Intellectual Foreplay, Commitment, Trust, Self-Esteem, #coulsonlives.

Also, this is acepr0n. It features graphic descriptions of emotional intimacy that may be captivating for readers who are enticed by psychological exposure and closeness the way sexual people are aroused by naked bodies rubbing together. There is emotional 69, even, emoting back and forth over each other. As there is very little acepr0n, this experience may be new to some people, and I don't want anyone to stumble into it unawares.

A note on feedback: While it's not necessary to comment on every post I make, remember that I don't know who reads/likes things if nobody says anything. Particularly on long stories, I've discovered that I get antsy if there's nothing but crickets chirping for several posts. So it helps to give me feedback at least once, even if it's just "I like this" or "This one doesn't grab me." First and last episodes are ideal if you rarely feel inspired to comment in the middle.

I also have a list of favorite photogenic scenes from the whole series for fanartists to consider, partly compiled from audience requests.

President Biden has canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline and rejoined the Paris Agreement.  \o/

So, after saving the world on Day 1, it will be interesting to see what he does next.

I voted for him as damage control, and he has very quickly exceeded my expectations.

Today is sunny and mild.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a squirrel, a flock of sparrows, several cardinals, and a downy woodpecker. Then when I was walking around the yard, I flushed a great horned owl from the southeast corner of the yard, who flew low toward the ritual meadow in the northeast.  :D

I also saw some interesting gnaw marks on a sapling, several feet off the ground.  It's not rabbit, too high up for that.  Might be deer, they're tall enough and eat bark in winter; but deer, like rabbits, typically nip off whole twigs leaving an angled cut mark.  This was rough gnawing.  It was probably a squirrel

This illusion shows how hard it can be to distinguish a mirror image from a symmetrical setup.

I am fascinated by things like this because they offer a form of mental gymnastics that improves the ability to tell the difference between objective and subjective realities, and between different possible phenomena.  It's a valuable skill in many contexts, from heroism to storytelling to philosophy.

Here are some more illusions.

I spotted this on a friend's blog: a bundle of 87 solo tabletop roleplaying games for $10

Just skimming the themes: a living shadow, hydration, cooking, queer experiences, self-love, relationships, ghosts, trees, transgender, time travel, ADHD, cats, killing gods, weather, a guided digital poetry experience, witches, fae, aliens, wargs, executive dysfunction, a magical zoo, nostalgia cartography, monsters, linguistics ...

... and one about rescuing books from a library fire, guess I'm not the only one still vexed about the Library of Alexandria.

What an awesome collection.  :D

EDIT 1/21/21: My partner Doug notes that each game must be downloaded separately, and some have multiple files.  O_O
