Mirror Illusion

This illusion shows how hard it can be to distinguish a mirror image from a symmetrical setup. 

I am fascinated by things like this because they offer a form of mental gymnastics that improves the ability to tell the difference between objective and subjective realities, and between different possible phenomena.  It's a valuable skill in many contexts, from heroism to storytelling to philosophy.

I love pretty much anything that breaks reality, or the perception of reality. The more you know about illusions, the easier it is to climb out of frameworks you have decided you don't want to be in. It becomes like people are drawing a box around you, and you can just step over the lines, because you exist in more dimensions than they do.
