One thing I am good at: Anything involving words made of language. Any language. If I don't already know it, I can probably hack it. I am linguistic SillyPutty. I have a linguistic coprocessor in my brain that can do things which are supposed to be impossible. It occupies space that other people use for things like face recognition. I wouldn't trade it away for anything.
Other things I want to share about myself: I post daily, often several times a day unless something prevents that. If you're looking for an active blog, this is it, and many of my audience members are active too. I enjoy boosting the signal for other people's events, as well as science news and other current events; some friends use me as a newsfeed. I am happy to make new friends. It's also fine if you prefer lurking.
Regular events:
* Poetry Fishbowl on the first Tuesday of each month. Next up will be February 1 with a theme of "Flipping Expectations." Leave prompts, get poems! Much of this is original, but if you like my fanwritting, you'll probably like my original writing as it contains many of the same themes and motifs. Fannish prompts are also acceptable, since I can use those as freebies.
* [community profile] crowdfunding Creative Jam on the third weekend of each month. Next up will be February 19-20 with a theme of "Hopefulness."
* Recurring Posts (see tag) on coping skills, philosophical questions, Monday Update, Good News, Hard Things, and Cuddle Party.

Extra Posts for Snowflake:
* Activating Communities
* Cultivating Kindness in Fandom
* Fun Meta Asks for Writers
* Improving Community in Fandom
* Skills Heroes Need

Poetry in Microfunding:

There is one open epic at present.

"Rainshadow Road" belongs the Daughters of the Apocalypse series, which has 33 new verses. People talk about the End.

The weather has been cold here. It snowed a little. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, several pairs of cardinals, a starling, a house finch, and four fox squirrels. Mourning doves are starting to display courtship behavior. :D

Today is partly sunny and cold.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, several cardinals, a starling, a house finch, a goldfinch, and three fox squirrels.  The mourning doves are starting to show courting behavior.
