There is one open epic at present.

"Rainshadow Road" belongs the Daughters of the Apocalypse series, which has 33 new verses. People talk about the End.


The weather has been cold here. It snowed a little. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, several pairs of cardinals, a starling, a house finch, and four fox squirrels. Mourning doves are starting to display courtship behavior. :D

I am interested in reviving <user="three_weeks_for_dw">, but I don't have a lot of spare time to commit to it. I'll definitely post, though!

My plan is to come up with a list of challenges and/or topics. There should be things for people to do in their own blogs or communities if they wish, much like snowflake_challenge has, but also suggestions for longer things like "create a series of connected anchor posts about a favorite topic." There should also be gather-posts on three_weeks_for_dw itself that will work by people commenting under the main post, for instance a "Meet and Greet" on the first day. There should be instructions for things like "how to grow your audience," "how to run a community," "how to attract people to Dreamwidth," etc.

This way, interested people can pick and choose what they want to do and how much time they want to spend on it. Hopefully we'll have a community calendar where folks can sign up to host a favorite topic on a given day. It'll be a lot easier if we spread out the workload over multiple people than have 1-2 folks trying to carry the whole thing. After all, the point is to boost activity.
