Last week's Poetry Fishbowl on "Short Forms" went quite well. I actually finished all the obligatory prompts on Tuesday! \o/ That rarely happens nowadays. Most of them have since sold and been posted. I haven't touched the Holiday Poetry Sale since before Tuesday, but I hope to get back to that soon. Sorry for the delay on those sponsored poems; I still have a stack left. I've posted about 33 of 48 sponsored poems, with 15 left to post, so more than half done.


Every January I do support for New Year's resolutions. I made a new list of Seasonal Resolutions. The support posts appear on Fridays so folks can talk about their progress on their goals.

There are two open epics at present.

"Before You Can Love Me" belongs to Iron Horses. Spotted Deer and Warshirt discuss oppression.

"The Simple Act of Caring" belongs to the Big One. Pips takes care of Bennett and Jules after the earthquake.


The weather has been cool and intermittently wet. We have gotten a dusting of snow a couple of times, and occasional drizzle. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a flock of sparrows. Plants that are still green include white alyssum, blue lobelia, snapdragon, and dusty miller artemesia.

We've reached the end of scheduled themes for the Poetry Fishbowl project. It's time to brainstorm some new themes! These are a few that I've jotted down earlier, ones that I've thought up or people have suggested, to give you an idea what kind of stuff might be suitable:
