Here begins the Boss Finn storyline, which follows China's Mistake in Mercedes and Finn Family of Polychrome Heroics.  If you want to read more about her becoming a shadowlight boss, feel free to prompt for that.  dialecticdreamer runs Magpie Monday and Feathering the Nest.  I do the Poetry Fishbowl, whose Tuesday theme of "Short Forms" is minimally compatible, but the mid-month Creative Jam will be on "Darkness and Light."

New Year's Resolution Status

How are you doing on your New Year's resolutions? I have already completed 2 of my goals for 2021, and begun 11 (some of which can't be completed until the end of the year).

There are three open epics at present.

"Wanting a Little of Everything" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv. Bennett talks with Shiv and Luci about kink.

"A Celebration and a Consolation" belongs to Polychrome Heroics. Keira's father dumps her mother on Yule.

"The Best Understanding of Their Differences" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Calliope. Calliope and Vagary get into a playful bubble fight.


Last week's weather was a winter mix including rain, ice, and snow on various occasions.  Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of sparrows, a large flock of cardinals, a few mourning doves, a downy woodpecker, a dark-eyed junco, and three squirrels (including Bob the short-tailed squirrel on a separate occasion).

Moment of Silence: Tanya Roberts

Actress Tanya Roberts has passed away.  She played in many diverse roles ranging from Beast Master and Sheena to Charlie's Angels.  She will be missed.

Birdfeeding

Today started out brightly sunny, so I used window cleaner to clean the window crystals.  And then the sky mostly clouded over, so I didn't get the afternoon rainbows.  :/  Ah well.  There will be other days.

I fed the birds.  Lots of cardinals out today.  I have also seen at least two different squirrels, as one was Bob, the short-tailed one, while the other had a whole tail.  The downy woodpecker is around too.

It's a mild-for-January ~40°F today, so I walked around the yard.  I'm really glad I did, because I found some spoor from a great horned owl.  :D 3q3q3q!!!  Learn how to scout for owls.
