I live in central Illinois with my partner. I enjoy outdoor activities such as birdfeeding and gardening. Food is another favorite hobby; I often link recipes or post original recipes. I am a gender scholar. I'm Pagan. Fandoms of interest include the Avengers, Gargoyles, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Lucifer, The Sentinel, Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek, Star Wars, Supernatural, Tolkien, and the X-Men. Plus a ton of other stuff; we have pretty much wallpapered our house with books and videos.

I am a wordsmith by talent, profession, and vocation. I write how to posts fairly often. I enjoy a wide variety of speculative fiction, poetry, and other entertainment. My most popular fannish series is Love Is For Children. You can find some of my writing collected here:

I will be doing a live writing Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, January 5 with a theme of "short forms." Please drop by then and give me prompts or just watch the fun. You can ask for any topic that will fit in a poem of 60 lines or less. Other sessions, I do the longer plottier stuff.

Are you looking for fannish or original inspiration, networking, etc.? I run the community allbingo for monthly and other fests, for which January is Fresh Starts Bingo. All fandoms welcome, and if yours is rare, by all means volunteer to host a fest. Our 2021 Community Calendar still has a few open slots, and it's okay to double up. I also run crowdfunding which has a Creative Jam on the third weekend of every month.  The Rose & Bay Awards are currently running to recognize excellence in cyberfunded creativity.  Come nominate your favorite crowdfunded Art, Fiction, Poetry, Webcomics, Other Projects, and Patrons!

Gosh, you're a busy person, I love the sound of what you are doing, Poetry Fishbowl and Cuddle Party in particular sound intriguing, and will have to try and pop in and check out some of them. The Sentinel was my very first fandom and I have a real soft spot for it still, even if I don't engage much in it any more.

Yep. Funny thing is, I never realize how much I've done until I tally it up.

Yay!

I highly recommend the Poetry Fishbowl coming up on Tuesday, Jan. 5. The short form theme probably won't have as much audience crosstalk as usual, but last year was fun. For a past example, here is December 1, 2020.

One reason I like it is that I came up with the same concept in my main science fiction world, decades ago.

Yeah, I don't know many people who write at my speed. Right now dialecticdreamer is the main firehose in my friend circle. :D See, this is why I love crowdfunding. I used to overwhelm editors. I actually made a magazine change its guidelines once to shoo me away.
