This poem is spillover from the August 7, 2018 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by a prompt from
pantha. It also fills the "same-sex couple" square in my 2-28-18 card for the Slice of Life Bingo fest. This poem belongs to the Shiv thread of the Polychrome Heroics series. It follows the poems "Something Dark in Me" and "When We Feel Flayed," so read those first or it will make no sense.
