There will be a Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, September 5 with a theme of "families of choice."  Mark your calendars and come give me prompts tomorrow!

Currently we have four poems in microfunding, so there's no slot open for the Tuesday fishbowl.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"The Inner Transition" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Berettaflies.  Valor's Widow coaxes Stylet to take a shower.  "The Higher a Monkey Climbs" belongs to Polychrome Heroics.  Pips reveals his attraction toward Joshua Tull.  "Two Foxes" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Iron Horses.  Kenzie is intrigued and a little embarrassed by Ron's caregiving skills.  "A Haven in a Heartless World" belongs to Diminished Expectations.

Weather has been cool and sunny.  We're getting some yardwork done.  Currently blooming: dandelions, marigolds, petunias, lantana, million bells, snapdragons, zinnias, firecracker plant, white and red clover, morning glories, echinacea, frost asters, cup plant, black-eyed Susan, torenia, purple aster, sawtooth sunflowers, pink sedum, purple sedum.  I need to set up my new birdfeeder and start filling the old ones.

Today is mostly cloudy, breezy, and rather warm.  I picked up sticks along the south side of the driveway and dumped the trolley in the firepit.

Chorizo

So we bought this chorizo at the Mexican meat market recently.  This stuff is like tear gas, it gives off a miasma, it has so much red pepper in it that Doug had a hard time telling when it was cooked because the browning was invisible.  Some people like this sort of thing.

This evening I opened up the jalapenos and made stuffing, which included some of the chorizo.  As I was scooping that into a bowl, the fairies grabbed the spoon and dumped some on the floor.

Then I heard "Hot! Hot! Hot!"

And then "AAAAAAA!  EEEEEEE!  AAAAAAA!" as they ran screaming from the room.

ROTFLMAO.  I bet my drop rate in the kitchen goes down to nothing for months.
