bluedreaming has posted several "no makeup" podfics as part of Three Weeks for Dreamwidth, if anyone is into audio. (See voiceteam for the "no makeup" challenge.) I think it's useful to post things that are incomplete or imperfect, because so much online is buffed to the point of intimidating people.
For my friends who like to consume audio, peasina is a podficcer who records fanfic and British comedy, also currently looking for new things to record.
Purrli is a purr generator where you can set the features of a virtual cat purring. :D
I am sure that Kraken made something like this in response to the Purr Little Things charity. Which they probably also support, but you can't keep geeks from trying to synthesize things they like.
daisiesrockalot has made recordings for some of the poems in Diminished Expectations. Scroll to the bottom of the series page and look in the Extras section to find them. I hope that this will expand accessibility of my work for audience members who are vision-impaired, have a long commute, or otherwise find audio files more convenient.
Does anyone know how to put sound files online or a have a place to do so? daisiesrockalot has recorded poems from the series Diminished Expectations and we would like to share these.
EDIT 3/25/18: A couple folks have suggested Sound Cloud. Does anyone use that service who would be able to post some poem files?
Someone recently mentioned wanting to get a friend to read my recent "how to" posts aloud. I don't do podcasting, but I know that I have a handful of vision-impaired folks in my audience who rely on audio. Would anyone like to read aloud my stuff like Emotional First Aid posts, and maybe ad lib descriptions of any images that aren't essentially linked to a description already? If you can post something like that in a publicly accessible place that I could link to, I'd be happy to swap you poetry for your time. Look over the unpublished stuff and let me know what appeals -- I can estimate how long it took me to write, and swap time for time, or we can compare length, etc.
