Philosophical Questions: Better or Worse
Feb. 4th, 2023 12:08 amPeople have expressed interest in deep topics, so this list focuses on philosophical questions.
Would things get better or worse if humans focused on what was going well rather than what’s going wrong?
It depends on the topic. It's often easier to improve things that are already going well, by focusing on what you're doing right, than by fixing problems.
If you don't focus on the problems, however, they tend not to get solved. So that's definitely worse.
In my observation, it's important to keep a wide enough view that you can see both. And when you're talking to people, they listen better if you can sandwich criticism between praise.
