Holiday Poetry Sale

Today is the last day of the Holiday Poetry Sale.  If you've been meaning to buy something, now's the time.  The pool with ng_moonmoth is still open, and there are poems left at $10 or less if you have a low budget.  I still have some poetry from Mom and Dad to post.

This poem is spillover from the August 7, 2018 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from dialecticdreamer and mashfanficchick. It also fills the "holding someone's hand" square in my 6-4-18 Mixed card for the Winteriron Bingo Adventure fest.  Special thanks to we_are_spc  for checking the vision-impaired details in this poem.  This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. Joyous Midwinter!

Midwinter or Yule is a Pagan holiday.  Happy Yule to everyone celebrating tonight!

My partner Doug and I exchanged gifts after sundown.  Mine included a Girl Genius t-shirt, a tie-dyed heart t-shirt with long sleeves, and a carton of fire-coloring sprinkles.  I also got my copy of Stronger, Faster, and More Beautiful from redsixwing.  :D  Several more items for me have not yet arrived.  Doug got several different t-shirts, several decks of cards, a movie, and a book of magic tricks.

The community event will be tomorrow.  We're doing the Longest Night celebration.  That means we'll be starting with the house cold, so I'm going to make a red-and-green salad, and we'll have the hot food brought in from outside. \o/

New verses in "The Tree of Damocles"

Thanks to a donation from janetmiles, there are now 17 new verses in "The Tree of Damocles."  Tolli and Simon propose that Shiv help them make a different kind of Christmas tree.

This one is down to $53 if anyone wants to finish it in time for Christmas.
