Emotional Intimacy Question: Connecting

Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list.

10. How do you best connect with others?

Through common interests.  Small talk bores me to death, and actually prevents  connection.  However, I'm quite happy talking about quantum physics or how to attract wildlife or crafts.  I need a meaningful topic.

Storytelling Mistakes in Social Justice

Food for thought.

Much of the social justice in my writing comes from either personal observation or prompts from fans with disadvantaged traits. But more recently, it's getting a big boost from social engineering.  I look at a functional society like Terramagne-America and wonder, with increasing detail, how the fleeping heck they make it work.  I have dug into their federal budget, their mass-transit maps, their park parameters, etc. looking for concrete details that I can highlight for replication if desired.  How do you make a society a nicer place to live?  That's the real social justice.
