Last week's Poetry Fishbowl went well. I was able to write all the poems on the day of the fishbowl.

The weather has been variable here. Today it's calm and overcast. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a flock of sparrows, a  flock of mourning doves, a couple of cardinals, some dark-eyed juncoes, two grackles, a house finch, and a squirrel. Leafing out: blue grape hyacinths, tulips, peonies, daylilies, naked lady lilies, sedum, honeysuckle. In bloom: snowdrops, eranthis, crocus, miniature iris, daffodils.

Gorillas Destroy Snares

My partner Doug tipped me to this article about young gorillas destroying snares.  I know that wolves will trip or destroy various kinds of traps, but this is the first I've heard of primates doing it. \o/
