fanbingo fest. It contains spoilers for Supernatural Season 7, Episode 1, "Meet the New Boss," and the later parts of Season 6.
"Idjit"
The noise was nerve-wracking, even for God, so he did the only thing he could think of. He called Bobby Singer.
"This is the dedicated line. You shouldn't have this number--" Bobby said testily.
"How do I make them stop?"
"Cas? Is that you?" Bobby asked.
"Yes, fine, you may use my old name. Now tell me how to make them stop!" said Castiel.
"Might help if you started at the beginnin' Cas, 'cause I'm a little lost here," Bobby said. "Fact is, you lost me at the point where you threatened to kill us all."
"There are 7,180,935,241 souls on Earth at this moment. A majority of them are praying to me for boons. All. The. Time." Castiel had to pause and lean against the side of a building. It was getting difficult to hold his focus. "The nagging is incessant and unbearable. How do I make them shut up?"
"You're omniscient, God," said Bobby. "You figger it out."
Castiel tried one more time. "What do you do when it's Sam and Dean?"
"Hang up. Idjit."
Bobby hung up.
Staring numbly at the dark phone in his hand, Castiel began to realize that he might have a serious problem.
