[personal profile] dialecticdreamer has written a charming bit of demifiction, "O'Fallon Journal: Community Events Calendar."  It describes a safety demonstration hosted by the Activity Scouts (formerly known as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts) to teach people what to do if they spot a supervillain.  Given the politics in Terramagne, large-scale official responses tend to be unfeasible and so the slack has been taken up by smaller, nongovernment organizations.  Why this one?  They're scouts:  they always go first to find the way for everyone else.

Also brilliant and worthy of note: people can request a sticker for those who prefer to avoid audience interaction.  Ever go to an event and sit in the back where you couldn't see, so you wouldn't get picked on?  This neatly avoids that problem, and is a cheap easy solution that any event organizer anywhere could implement.  Don't want to play for whatever reason, get a sticker, and you could safely sit anywhere.  I've spent years blocking for my friends who didn't want to be approached, and this is so much better.

Another useful sticker and/or badge ribbon would be, "And I don't want to appear in photos or videos, tyvm."

Yes...

In today's world of ubiquitous surveillance, that would indeed be very useful.

TER-a-mane. It's kind of like Charlemagne. Land of greatness.

That's what I thought, thanks. (I was thinking "great land", like "Charles the Great", but "land of greatness" certainly works.)
