Snowflake Challenge 14: Create Your Own Fandom Challenge

In your own space, create your own fandom challenge. Post your answer to today’s challenge in your own space and leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

This can be big or small; a challenge you saw someone do in another fandom, or that used to run and you miss; something you have thought up just now, or something you yourself are already doing. Earnest, whimsical, fun, all three! For snowflake's penultimate challenge, try challenging us all to give it a go.

In the 1970s, educator Arleen Lorrance wrote, "Be the change you want to see happen." Which is all well and good, but personally I think one ought to get one's friends to be the change you want to see happen.

Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and chilly.

I fed the birds.  I've heard plenty but haven't seen much activity yet.

I put out water for the birds.

The potting soil outdoors is frozen solid.  I may buy a fresh bag so I can pot up the native plant seeds that benefit from a cold phase.  I forgot to check if there's a whole bag outside that I can just lug into the foyer.

EDIT 1/27/25 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I put out more water for the birds.  They've been mobbing the birdbaths today.

I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a flock of starlings, and a flock of mourning doves.

EDIT 1/27/25 -- I checked for potting soil.  I don't have a full bag, so I'll need to buy some later.

The weather has been cold here, but most of the snow has melted off. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large mixed flock of sparrows and goldfinches, a large flock of starlings, a flock of mourning doves, a small flock of cardinals, a male downy woodpecker, a tufted titmouse, and a fox squirrel.

Seed Orders Arrived

Today three of my seed orders arrived. :D I want to try planting some of these early outdoors, so I need to get some potting soil that isn't frozen or covered in mud.

Challenge #14: In your own space, create your own fandom challenge.

I opted for a really low stakes and funny challenge: create your personal crackship. How? Easy. Take the last character you're obsessed with/like the most right now and then take very first character (or the one you believe was the very first if you don't really remember) you created for (be that meta, fanart, fanfic, moodboard, everything counts as long as you created for 'em!).

Bonus points if you explain how you'd make it work! (But don't worry if you don't want to explain anything and just amuse --and if you vibe with polyships and make one for this, that's more bonus points.)
