There will be a Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, December 6 with a theme of "Nature."  For all my new readers, I hope you drop by -- if one new person participates, then I'll post a second free poem.

There are three open epics at present.

"The Heart's Best Tenant" belongs to the Steamsmith. Charlotte has good ideas.

"Within the Souls of Men" belongs to Shiv and happens shortly after the Omaha Incident story arc. Shiv and Luci visit the Omaha reservation to unwind.

"Their Ancestral Lands" belongs to Iron Horses and starts on Thursday, July 9, 2020. Discovery of some historic fuckups starts a chain of upheavals in Oklahoma.


The weather has been variable here. We've gotten a little rain and some days of howling wind.  Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a flock of sparrows, several house finches, a pair of cardinals, a male and a female downy woodpeckers, and a fox squirrel.

Today is cloudy and cool.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a sparrow and a female downy woodpecker.
