Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your hard things a little easier?

Unpacking and setting up the new house. Progress is happening but it's slow going and energy-intensive.

Having to wait on half-assed public transportation because Lyft and Uber aren't possible this month. Which leads to anxiety about whether or not the manager will keep us because lat. *sighs*

I understand being understanding (Which this particular one is)...but how often is too often fore being late? Like this shit is starting to drive me...literally...insane with anxietly.

If I didn't have the ability to take a step back and breathe, if I didn't have my head people...

My partner had a dr apt today. I had some anxiety while he was gone even though it was only a few hours. I had trouble working or doing much of anything.

I'm starting to calm down now but I'm worried about how anxious I was/am.

I had a 50-minute medical appointment. I use a medical transport service.

The trip to the office: the driver was a few minutes early and got me there an hour before the appointment began.

The trip back: Called after the appointment, but it took twenty minutes to get through to a dispatcher. The first driver did not show up in an hour. It took another twenty minutes to get through to the dispatcher a second time. No driver. THIRD call, after ten minutes on hold... the driver showed up half an hour after the call.

The total time spent waiting for transportation: four and a half hours.
Total appointment time: 50 minutes.

This is making me so anxious that I'm swallowing acid for days after it happens.

I just wanted to leave a comment thanking you for your replies full of advice and suggestions (particularly about time management) on my addme post. I hadn't responded because I got a little busy and because it's a lot of information that I will slowly absorb, but I much appreciate that you took the time to communicate it to me. Thank ya =) and thanks for all the other links and resources you share on your journal. Very helpful.
