Poetry in Microfunding:

There is one open epic at present.

"Pride Against Prejudice" belongs to Polychrome Heroics and has 3 new verses. Check out the adaptive toys.  (I would have no spending money left after this parade.  I would wind up sitting under a tree groping in the bottom of my purse in search of the last few coins.)


The weather has been windy and intermittently rainy here.  A sizable tree has fallen into the ritual meadow and will need to be reduced to usable components.  Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a large flock of blackbirds, a flock of mourning doves, a flock of sparrows, several cardinals, several dark-eyed juncos, several house finches, several robins, a brown thrasher, and a squirrel. Currently blooming: daffodils, forsythia, violets, tulips, blue grape hyacinths, cherries, serviceberry, pear, crabapple.

Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, breezy, and mild.  I fed the birds.

I cleared sticks from the bare patch next to the patio, then sowed grass seed. 

EDIT 4/20/20 -- Round Two, I raked a big patch in the south lot and sowed grass seed there.

EDIT 4/20/20 -- Round Three, I raked and sowed another big patch in the south lot.

As it is dark and I am exhausted, I am done for the night.

Today's Smoothie

Today we made a smoothie with:

1 cup mango nectar
1 carton Yoplait vanilla yogurt + almond milk to make 1 cup
1 mandarin orange + crushed pineapple to make 1 cup
a splash of LaVia coconut milk
1/2 cup ice

This one is thinner than usual (no frozen fruit) and light yellow-orange.  It mostly tastes like pineapple-orange juice with a little tropical flair.  It's pretty good.
