Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. This is the current list on self-awareness.

9. Are you good at being in the present moment?

Pretty good.  I have enough awareness of past, present, and sideways that it's easy to drift.  But I also have a knack for spotting important moments as they are happening rather than in retrospect, and generally appreciating the good times.

This poem came out of the June 4, 2019 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from [personal profile] dialecticdreamer, [personal profile] ellenmillion, [personal profile] erulisse, and Shirley Barrette. It also fills the "Engagement / Wedding" square in my 6-1-19 card for the Cottoncandy Bingo fest. This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. It belongs to the Shiv thread of the Polychrome Heroics series.

Today I refilled the fly-through feeder and the hopper feeder.  There are at least 5 pairs of cardinals now: one pair on the fly-through feeder and four pairs in the forest garden around the hopper feeder.  :D

I have finished posting the currently sponsored poems.

The pool is still open courtesy of [personal profile] ng_moonmoth if you wish to join in.   Look on the sale page and you'll see which poems the pool will be covering.  In several cases, the pool has sponsored prerequisites, which clears the way for the sequels "Celebrate and Cherish" and "The Supreme Quality for Leadership."

For those with a short budget, note that all the sub-epics are still available, as are the epics under $20.

If you're planning to participate in the Holiday Poetry Sale, now is a good time.  It ends tomorrow evening.

WARNING: This poem contains intense topics likely to disturb some readers. Highlight to read the warnings, some of which are spoilers. It includes severe mental distress, reference to past kidnapping and child abuse, reference to past attempted genocide, current attempted kidnapping, fight, blood and gore, violent death of a villain, poetic justice, communal alteration of facts, drugs and poisons, exhaustion, minor medical details, and other mayhem. If these are sensitive issues for you, please consider your tastes and headspace before deciding whether this is something you want to read. However, this is the climax of the thread about the hunters, so skipping it would leave a big gap.
