This poll covers the ideas proposed in the recent call for themes. Everyone is eligible to vote in this poll. I will keep it open until at least tonight. If there are clear answers then, I'll close it. Otherwise I may leave it open until Tuesday morning, when I have to post the theme for next week's fishbowl. If you don't have a Dreamwidth account, you can vote in an anonymous comment, but include some kind of handle to distinguish yourself.
For this poll, you can vote for as many themes as you find appealing. I recommend that you don't vote for all of them, since that makes it harder to whittle down the list. The themes are arranged in alphabetical order.

There are two open epics.
"Everyone Can Dance" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv. Shiv realizes a possible catch in the plan.
"What Survives the Whole Process" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Fortressa. Penny has finalized the design of her new cargo pants.
The weather has been mild here. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a small flock of mourning doves, several house finches, several sparrows, a pair of cardinals, and a squirrel. Currently blooming: violas, petunias, pinks, marigolds, lantana, torenia, million bells, moss rose, firecracker plant, salvia, nasturtiums, gaillardia, clover, morning glories, butterfly weed, blackberry lilies, cup plant, yellow coneflower, bergamot, gladioli, partridge pea, red yarrow, coreopsis, and a bunch of other things. There are a few mulberries left. Blackberries are ripe. Crabapples and apples have green fruit.

Wild Tidy Joes
Jul. 29th, 2019 11:06 pmToday we made a batch of Wild Tidy Joes using bison meat. (The original recipe used elk, but it works with a variety of game meats. We've done it with venison too.) I got six cartons of sandwich filling. So that's 6 suppers for the two of us, plus 6-12 lunches for my partner Doug, or 18-24 servings. We paid about $30 for three pounds of bison meat and probably another $10 for additional ingredients. That's about $1.66 to $2.22 per serving. You can put this stuff in a tortilla, a hamburger or hot dog bun, etc. It also makes a great meaty dip for crackers or chips if you don't like the creamy kind.
Poem: "Pride Against Prejudice"
Jul. 29th, 2019 11:56 pmThis poem came out of the July 2, 2019 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from Dreamwidth users Capri0mni, Bairnsidhe, Curiosity, Readera, and
ng_moonmoth. It also fills the "International Day of Persons with Disabilities - December 3" square in my 7-1-19 card for the Winterfest in July Bingo fest. This poem belongs to the Polychrome Heroics series. Aconite and several other characters were introduced in "What Makes the Feast," so you might want to read that first.
This microfunded poem is being posted one verse at a time, as donations come in to cover them. The rate is $0.50/line, so $5 will reveal 10 new lines, and so forth. You can also ask me about the number of lines per verse, if you want to fund a certain number of verses.
