Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.
What good news have you had recently? Are you anticipating any more? Have you found a cute picture or a video that makes you smile? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your life a little happier?

Date: 2019-07-24 10:41 am (UTC)When Dad told me about it, I said “sudden onset means a meds reaction” and I was right. Unfortunately it took the hospital longer. He’s in rehab for a bit; the meds that caused the reaction were to help him with much milder issues like falling and forgetting, so he won’t be able to go back to living alone.
My cousin-in-law Robert has been his steadfast companion through all of this, repaying, in a way, Uncle Harvey moving to be closer when Lauren and Robert were suddenly the parents of triplets and Robert’s depression took a downturn. (Triplets are now 30, older sister is 33? or so.)

Not doing much of anything is at least better than actively making something worse. But it's still not great.
If you haven't already found a mood tracker that you like, consider doing that. There are sleep trackers too. Actual measurements can help decide if anything is really helping.
Secure on Paper Only is safest, and good for visual-tactile people. Here are some printables:

Most of the time, I do personal science in my head. If I can't figure out a complex problem -- because every so often, my body presents me with some fresh hell -- then I resort to writing it down to see if that helps me clarify a pattern and solution. Usually I am much, much better at solving problems than other people, so I rely mostly on myself. :/
