Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

What good news have you had recently? Are you anticipating any more? Have you found a cute picture or a video that makes you smile? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your life a little happier?

Yesterday was the 25th anniversary of my handfasting to one of my partners, definitely one of the best things I ever did. We had a lovely meal and a wonderful evening together.

My 89-year-old Uncle Harvey (“Great Papa” to his grandchildren) is recovering from a bout of severe disorientation and regression that turned out to be due to a meds reaction.

When Dad told me about it, I said “sudden onset means a meds reaction” and I was right. Unfortunately it took the hospital longer. He’s in rehab for a bit; the meds that caused the reaction were to help him with much milder issues like falling and forgetting, so he won’t be able to go back to living alone.

My cousin-in-law Robert has been his steadfast companion through all of this, repaying, in a way, Uncle Harvey moving to be closer when Lauren and Robert were suddenly the parents of triplets and Robert’s depression took a downturn. (Triplets are now 30, older sister is 33? or so.)

A nice tumbledown shed near Upton Magna!

It made me feel good when we saw it yesterday, anyway! :o)

Got a very nice complement from a customer/client when he took me and my bosses out to lunch yesterday. He said that I was the best person that we have had working in my position since we opened and that I should get a raise! Hopefully i will!

So today my bosses told me that I am getting a raise! And it had been on the works for a few weeks so that comment was just the cherry on top. Plus the bonus for the 2nd quarter is going to hit at the same time as the pay raise. 😁😁🙌🙌

A bit of self discovery woke up at 5am last Monday... and I was able to take Thursday and Friday off to process it without consequence (PTO FTW!) ...

Also, I got a "W00t!" from one of my favourite musicians; it seems my company is one of the host sites for her new filk album that released on Saturday.... if you're a space geek, check it out!

Things are on track for Turkey Day here being a full house... ALL THE PEOPLE WILL BE HOME (and therefore well enough to be home), Lady wiling.

I've gotten to spend time with 4 different very friendly cuddly animals in the last 3 days, 5 in the past few weeks. I'll be around two of the wonderful amazing animals for the next 3 weeks. They make visiting my narrow minded extended family mostly worth it.

And the most recent attempt at anti-anxiety meds aren't having much in the way of side effects so far. Not sure they're helping, but at this early stage not making things worse is acceptable. Might be helping me settle down at night? Not really sure.

Despite failures of leadership, consumer demand for green energy solutions is shifting the market toward carbon neutral sources.
