Poem: "Confusing to the Ear"

This poem is spillover from the April 5, 2016 Poetry Fishbowl, but it has its roots in several discussions on dialecticdreamer's blog about characters with disabilities including "Disability On Screen" and "Future Illness and Ableism." The prompt from capri0mni about Claudius I is actually under "Prompts Open for April 2016." technoshaman prompted for Granny Whammy in my fishbowl. Poem: "When Someone Is Vulnerable"

This poem is spillover from the April 5, 2016 Poetry Fishbowl.  It was inspired by prompts from paantha, kestrels_nest, and DW user Capriuni.  It also fills "The Healer" square in my 4-1-16 card for the Archetypal Characters Bingo fest.  This poem belongs to the Officer Pink thread of the Polychrome Heroics series, and it leads directly into the sequel "Through Weakness and Vulnerability."

Tuesday Yardening

Today Doug helped me by digging holes, so we got all six of the Canadian hemlock shrubs planted and mulched.  I also cut a bunch of milk jugs into plant protectors.

I've seen several butterflies today.  White cabbage butterflies, also something small and orange.  Lots of ladybugs and worms while we were digging.

EDIT: Picked up the tree wraps from the post office.  Put the first batch of those on seedlings.  

The serviceberry tree now has its white blossoms.  Pretty.  Lilacs and elderberry are leafing out.
