Quain was born in Dayton, Ohio and lived there through seventh grade, where he joined the RoboDerby club. That summer, his mother got a job opportunity at the Hope Circle Historic Site, so the family moved to Circleburg, Ohio.
(In T-Ohio, Circleburg was built outside of the Hopewell earthwork, which was first preserved as a curiosity and later turned into a site for archaeology and anthropology, similar to Cahokia Mounds in Illinois.)
Circleville is a city in Pickaway County, Ohio, United States, and its county seat. The city is situated along the Scioto River 25 miles (40 km) south of Columbus. The population was 13,927 at the 2020 census.
Circleville is named after its original layout created in 1810, which was based upon the circular Hopewell tradition earthwork within which the city was built. This earthwork measured 1,100 ft (340 m) in diameter, and was constructed in the early centuries of the Common Era. The county courthouse was built in the center of the innermost circle.

Nadin Engelhardt -- She has fair skin, blue eyes, and shoulder-length straight hair streaked in lighter and darker shades of blonde. She often pulls her hair back into a tiny pigtail to keep it out of her face. She wears glasses. She is biromantic bisexual. Her heritage is American and German; she speaks English and German. She is 20 years old in 2015.
Nadin grew up in Dayton, Ohio. She got interested in RoboDerby during seventh grade and made friends with Quain Macallan. That year she dropped the "e" from "Nadine" because she found it too girly. Currently she is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Ohio State University-Columbus.
Although Nadin has plenty of nerd friends, she doesn't fit in well with mainstream society and is not currently in a relationship. She wears comfortable clothes that lean gender-neutral, but she loves tactile aspects like fuzzy sweaters and corduroy pants. Her base colors are navy and white, accented with brighter shades of blue, green, and purple. She also likes geeky T-shirts.
