Flex Space Lecture Room 453 offers long tables and chairs. This study area and lounge on the right side looks toward the emergency stairs. Here you can see the sound-absorbing fiberboard, made from recycled cloth, that lines most of the walls and ceilings. The hexagonal pattern makes it more visible. Some walls hide it behind wood paneling. The floors have matting underneath the rugged indoor-outdoor carpeting.

Between the women's restroom and the large study rooms are two rows of study carrels. The slatted ceiling is pressed fiber made from recycled cloth to break up and absorb sound.

This study area and lounge looks toward the help desk. The center of the study area holds couches and chairs. The right side of the study area looks toward study rooms. This is the right side of the study area with a long table. Here the study area looks toward the front. This lounge area is near the windows.
