I found several independent restaurants in town that I haven't tried. I thought I might try one this morning for breakfast. It's also an excuse to go to one of the nails salons. If my breathing allows I'd like to go to the street market.

I'm planning to buy at least one Christmas gift from a local, much-beloved bookstore. It may end up being more than one, we'll see. My elder niece is not difficult to shop for; my father is trickier.

We just got back from our excursion.

Lots of fruit and veggies, homemade hot sauces, baba ganoush (sp.?) lots of arts and crafts.

Major purchase from a small locally-owned business: I bought a new stove. Between sale and willingness to take last year's model, I spent roughly half what I'd expected to. Still a chunk, but not too much more than I paid for the one I'm replacing a decade ago.
