Darrow Poems 12-12-25
the snow falls,
then rain, then ice:
alas! no market today
* * *
cinnamon, ginger, clove:
mulled apple cider is
the scent of autumn
* * *
in a single leaf,
all the colors
of the sunset
* * *
the tree is hollow
inside, and yet
it still lives --
perhaps there is
hope for even me
* * *
flower petals
under the frost,
faded but still
beautiful
* * *
morning before sun
so cold and yet
so hopeful
