Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and hot.

I haven't fed the birds yet, or seen much activity at the feeders.

I finished trimming weeds around the apricot tree with the fly-through feeder.  I still need to spread mulch though.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I took some pictures around the yard.  Lots of sunflowers, zinnias, and some gladioli are blooming.

I've seen a flock of house finches, at least two cardinals, and a fox squirrel that posed for pictures.  :D

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I fed the birds.  

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I laid a line of mulch around the apricot tree.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I watered the septic garden, patio plants, and picnic table.

My partner Doug is out mowing around the apricot tree. \o/

EDIT 8/24/24 -- We walked around to see the mowed area.  The fly-through feeder is now much more accessible.  :D

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I watered the seedlings in the savanna, telephone pole garden, and grass patch.

I've seen a pair of cardinals and a male goldfinch in the forest garden.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I watered the recently planted bulbs.

I've seen a mourning dove in the forest garden.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I cut brush along the south side of the house.

EDIT 8/24/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

Crickets and cicadas are singing.

As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
