Birdfeeding

Today is sunny, breezy, and quite warm.  Some idiot is out plowing up big clouds of dust.  His topsoil is leaving him to run away from home. >_<

I fed the birds.  I've seen a flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, a flock of grackles, several house finches, a brown-headed cowbird, and a fox squirrel.

I put out water for the birds and also watered some of the plants I recently put out. 

EDIT 4/11/23 -- I watered more plants.

Serviceberries and gold currants are blooming.  Redbuds are showing color but not open yet.  One of last year's oak seedlings is leafing out but the new one hasn't yet.

EDIT 4/11/23 -- I cut brush around the gold currants.

EDIT 4/11/23 -- I hauled branches to the ritual meadow and piled them in the firepit.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

I enjoy each "As it is now dark, I am done for the night." I say a similar thing to unwind and ease myself into evening, relaxing sleep: "I am ready for this day to end."
