The Rights of All Beings include:
Every component of the Earth community, living and non-living has three rights: the right to be, the right to habitat or a place to be, and the right to fulfill its role in the ever-renewing processes of the Earth community.

A lazy human can make a cubic yard in a few months to a year by piling up a compost heap and ignoring it. An industrious human can do it in 2 weeks with a compost tumbler rotated once or twice a day.
Me, I've chosen to half-ass a permaculture for mutual human-wildlife benefit. I plant a mix of species, mostly native, that have various uses and combine to make a mini-ecosystem. I can wander around the yard putting things in my mouth, and bald eagles think it's a romantic carpet for their courtship dance. I'll call that a win.
So one approach you could take would just be the general caretaking of environment as a species role.
If you wish to derive a more individual purpose, then look at the things you do best, especially things which few other people do; and compare that to what sorts of things the world needs done. If you're good at math, you might look at balancing a civic budget since most towns are in trouble from poor financial choices. If you're good at computers, you might build programs that are more accessible than the current kludgeware. If you still like cartoons, you might use funny voices or pictures to teach key concepts so people will remember them better.
