There are two open epics at present.

"Rainshadow Road" belongs to the Daughters of the Apocalypse series and has 38 new verses. Maggot is getting better, but not fast enough.

"The Heart's Best Tenant" belongs to the Steamsmith. Charlotte has some interesting business ideas for Maryam.


The weather has been warm here. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a few sparrows, a few mourning doves, a pair of house finches, a male cardinal, and a fox squirrel.  Asiatic lilies and lantana are done blooming.  Comfrey, marigold, black hollyhock, a white flower in the wildflower garden, daylilies, goldenrain tree, zinnia, elderberry, Queen Anne's lace, purple coneflowers, yellow coneflowers, and chicory are blooming.  Apples and pears have green fruit.  Blackberries and mulberries are ripe.
