The description says its fruit attracts birds, so that was another reason for buying it. Bush dogwoods are good for stem density; lots of wildlife likes that.

The flower mix that I bought has 4 species. I have some common milkweed already, and just discovered this winter that I had the vining kind because I recognized the pods.
>> they've left off visiting my backyard for some years now, and it used to be interesting to watching them flutter into the yard from the northeast to make their way to the southwest, every time.<<
We still have some, though nearly as many as we used to. They like this as a rest stop. My yard is a Pepsi and a piss in the sand for many species! :D I haven't noticed directional flight though. Usually I see monarchs fluttering at random or flocked on trees.
