These are the content notes for "The Most Revolutionary Aspect."

"The most revolutionary aspect of technology is its mobility. Anybody can learn it. It jumps easily over barriers of race and language. ... The new technology of microchips and computer software is learned much faster than the old technology of coal and iron. It took three generations of misery for the older industrial countries to master the technology of coal and iron. The new industrial countries of East Asia, South Korea, and Singapore and Taiwan, mastered the new technology and made the jump from poverty to wealth in a single generation."
-- Freeman Dyson

Light industry includes most consumer products and green energy. It produces a variety of jobs. Explore some tools and equipment.

Small-scale microchip fabrication is possible here, just not common.  It's a lot more popular in Terramagne.

There are many types of disabilities. The four main categories mentioned here are developmental, physical, sensory, and psychological.

A helping-hand or third-hand tool is a set of adjustible rods and clamps for holding crafts in progress. Most are small and simple, although there are floor models too. The Thing (officially the Everything You Can't So You Can Tool) is actually a modular system of parts including bases (legs, weighted, magnetic, suction, various styles of clamp, or nail/screw plates), spines (many sizes of fixed and several types of adjustible height), shoulder collars to hold arms (various sizes of fixed, jointed, and serpentine arms), joints, clamps, magnifiers, lamps, frames, organizers, and other attachments. You can buy The Thing fully assembled, in kits of various sizes like Legos, or individual parts. It's enormously popular at HAMshack and usually has a whole rack to itself.

HAMshack is a Terramagne-American version of the old amateur electronics stores such as Radio Shack. It does not sell finished products, only components and kits for amateur radio and other electronics. It also stocks a variety of tools and hardware useful for small crafts and inventions, like the modular parts for the Everything You Can't So You Can system. It is very popular; most towns have at least one. The selection varies widely based on local needs and interests. Some have fairly simple materials, while others range up into gizmotronic gear.

Another Door Opens is a Terramagne-American program for people with acquired disabilities. It offers free college or other education in professions convenient for blind, deaf, paralyzed, or otherwise disabled people. For the most physically limited, it offers a wide array of highly theoretical fields such as computer programming, ethics, linguistics, philosophy, and quantum mechanics that rely little on the body. For those with brain injuries or mental disabilities, it presents more physical options such as arts and crafts, organic gardening, and pet care. Another Door Opens also provides grants to makerspaces, business incubators, and other organizations if they uphold inclusive goals; the payouts go higher for those who include more different types of disabled consultants and/or members. By supporting people in the pursuit of a new career, this program provides emotional engagement, achievement, and independence at a time when survivors often feel hopeless.
