Blending boards are used to set up fibers for spinning. These are some themed examples:
* How to Make an Autumnal Gradient Rolag on a Blending Board
* How to Spin a Funfetti Birthday Cake Inspired Yarn
* Gucci Inspired Rolag on a Blending Board
* Snow White Inspired Rolag on a Blending Board
* Starry Night Inspired Blending Board
* Vanellope Von Schweetz Inspired Rolag on a Blending Board
* A Warhol and Diamond Dust Inspired Pop Art Blend
* Magical Winter Gradient Rolag on a Blending Board
Basically you can take any object or image you find inspiring, attempt to match it from your fiber stash, and lay that out on a blending board or a drum carder. If you apply the fiber in layers or narrow stripes, then it will mostly blend together. Yellow and blue will look green; opposite colors can turn to mud. If you use wider stripes, then you can create a gradient where the original colors show through strongly. Adding white fiber (which is cheaper) will make even bright colors look more pastel. All of this is good for making multicolored yarn.
