Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and breezy. Lots of monarch butterflies out -- they're migrating, and very happy to have goldenrod to eat and trees to roost in. When I was little they migrated in great orange clouds, covering the Home Base mulberry. Now I rarely see them in clusters.
I fed the birds. I've seen house finches and a squirrel.
I trimmed comfrey around one tree in the savanna.
EDIT 9/24/21 -- We hauled a wheelbarrow of firewood into the house.
EDIT 9/24/21 -- I started pulling weeds around the woodpile.
EDIT 9/24/21 -- I trimmed comfrey around another tree in the savanna.
