ysabetwordsmithEric Carle has passed away. He created many picture books for children, most known for The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
If you loved that book, you can honor his memory by planting a caterpillar garden. It doesn't have to be very big, just some larval food plants meant to be eaten.

Date: 2021-05-28 08:53 am (UTC)Check the seeds you have. Most butterfly blends focus on flowers for the adults, but some of the better blends also include larval plants such as milkweed. If your mix doesn't include those, you can find some to add. Flowers will attract butterflies, which helps them find host plants.
