Cookie Monster Agate

This is so awesome.  :D

In a way, it reminds me of millefiori / murrine because the image is built with layers that are then cut through to reveal it.  I know that we have lab-created gemstones.  This makes me wonder if anyone is doing lab-created agates or other geodes to create a different type of murrine.  If not, it would be a cool project and a new type of art.

It happens. Worse is when you accidentally unsubscribe or ban someone, and then have to undo it, and wonder if they're going to freak. It'd be nice if the command buttons had more space between lines to reduce that tendency.

Anyhow, I actually did look at your blog and it seemed interesting. I noticed your Sanskrit lesson report; I like languages.

You don't have to stay subscribed to mine if only the one thing appeals. But Geode Cookie Monster is pretty typical of the random, weird things that I post because they're cool.

I feel so bad, I'm so sorry. I'm a bit of a shy, introvert type, and tend to keep my own flist small and heavily curated.

However, I do enjoy trawling around the Network feature now and then. It's always nice to come upon interesting things and people out there - so now that I've said hello, you'll probably find me popping in once in a while sharing my two-cents. :)

Oh my gosh, I actually did this! I accidentally blocked my boss on Whatsapp, and never realised that was why I never got any notifications from her when we started working from home, when the pandemic began. Only found out that I'd done that the day I went into work to collect my end-of-year evaluation. *headdesk*

It just so happens I've got (and have had for quite some time) science is fun kits or parts of kits including Magic Crystals, which are various salts. Can we arrange appropriate swaps?

Maybe we can get stains out of laundry the old fashioned way.

Well, I have a near-endless supply of poetry, if that would appeal.

A possible limitation is the durability of the finished crystals. The ones I'm familiar with tend to be on the soft side, which means they might not stand up to shipping.

Another is that, if the image is built on the inside, it needs to be cut cleanly rather than bashed open with a hammer, and I don't have a lapidary saw.
