Good News
I finished posting the set of Rabid City demifiction perks:
Demifiction: "The Gaslight Goes Out"
Demifiction: "Painting the Town Red"
Demifiction: "Anti-Soup Agitators Open the Sealed Evil in a Can"
Demifiction: "Rapid City Gets Cold Shoulder"
The half-price sale in Polychrome Heroics has SOLD OUT. This is the first time a quarter-price sale has sold out. It is the first time a fishbowl activity has cracked $2000. The goal was $700 for a new computer for Doug, which is currently in his office. The final total, after today's addition of funds to finish the pool by
daisiesrockalot and
curiosity, is a whopping $2298.75. That's more than three times the target. \o/ You people are made of clinical-grade chocolate, 24-karat gold-foil-wrapped WIN. We are beyond grateful.
However, I have no idea when I'll manage to get those last several poems posted, along with the remaining demifiction perks, because tomorrow is fishbowl. O.O Some problems are nice to have?
The July 3, 2018 Poetry Fishbowl will have a theme of "Xenolinguistics and Lost Languages." I'm being flexible, so any unusual language stuff should reasonably count. Donors also have the option of sponsoring a square from my current bingo cards, Winterfest in July (two squares already claimed) and Hurt/Comfort Bingo (wide open).
Poetry in Microfunding:
"Energy, Made Visible" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv and has 6 new verses. Shiv flibbers over being unable to earn ALL the pretty colors at once.
"Only If It Is Embraced" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Damask. Ham grumbles over the arrangements.
The weather has been warm here. We got a little rain last night, which is good, as the yard was starting to dry out. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: sparrows, mourning doves, several cardinals, and plenty of of house finches. In bloom: marigolds, gazania, blue lobelia, white alyssum, zinnias, torenia, salvia, cleome, petunia, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, coreopsis, dianthus, peppers, basil, daylilies, begonia, morning glory, and sundry others. My Here Lies Butch daylilies are still blooming. Crabapples, apples, and blackberries have green fruit. Mulberries and raspberries are ripe. Like I have time to pick anything. Well, the wildlife is feasting.
