A graphic short story
Date: 2016-11-21 02:42 am (UTC)I'd've called it a "comic" before we had the term "graphic novel". It's way too short to be called a novel, though.
I'm not disappointed, but I felt pretty lost at the start, because it combines (what I'm used to as) a Western form with a literary and legendary tradition I'm almost completely unfamiliar with. I felt as though I'd been dropped into a long novel, closer to the end than to the middle. The notes at the end cleared up a lot, though. I see why you recommend it, and I'm glad I bought it and read it.
Ve-ry interesting!
