>> You guys bot' done real good, an' I's proud ta (e-)know ya.<<
Thank you! *hugs*
>> Includin' big, BIG t'anks for postin' dis an' de EXcellent advice derein. <<
*bow, flourish* Happy to be of service. I figure that sharing things like this is one way of helping other people think about what they might do in similar circumstances, and helping me think about what I could still improve.
>> Like Chantah, I is not aware of magic an' has got to remain neutral/aggy-gnostic about it, but if it's part of you' life, dat's how ya manage it. <<
That's okay. Each of us has to live in the universe we inhabit, and even though it may look like we're in the same one, that's not always 100% true. I'm cool with your neutrality, and you know where to come for backup if you ever find yourself facing something that blows the top off your Weird Shit-O-Meter in ways you don't feel equipped to handle by yourself.
>> Whew and wow, that is scary. <<
Yes. But I'm proud of myself for facing down things that I find rattlesome, even if they're not the same things that other people might. I may have let that slow me but I didn't let it stop me.
It does, however, make me think of the quote, "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer." I will say that it also works in this mode: "A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes sooner."
>> And I don't know why I went into comic-exaggerated hometown(NooYawk)ese, ... best guess: stress relief valve. <<
That's one possibility; people's accents often strengthen under stress.
Look at what I wrote and you'll see bits of Southern creeping in. So it could also be a case of equal and opposite reaction on your part.
