This complaint about inaccessibility is brilliantly specific.  The key to communication is to speak a common language, whether in nationality or in metaphor.  In this case, it draws on a relevant quote from a common fandom.  Print it out, tack it to your bulletin board, and label it "Like This."

Whoa. I went and read the entire letter, and what happened was APPALLING. The con left a disabled fan sitting at the train station until he had no choice but to go back home, because the transportation shuttle couldn't accommodate his motorized wheelchair. No apology, no refund, no nothin'.

Things like that happen. It's very wrong. Finding out accessibility in advance is difficult at best, often impossible.

(Reading that one led me to click around a bit, and ... there's a Geek Feminism Wiki? o_O And reading there made me feel a bit uneasy, not because I am not a feminist, since I am, but because I don't think I'm speaking remotely the same language as that brand of feminism.)

But yes, that letter is brilliantly put, and I'd really expect better of Doctor Who fandom, given its sheer size and widespread nature.

There's just no excuse for this and here, legally speaking, the organisers would be on very dodgy ground indeed!
