There will be a half-price poetry sale for Path of the Paladins running May 14-20. The followup poll for generally sponsored poetry is still open, and will close tonight. There are three epics available, and you can launch one or two of them. So far participation is fairly low; if you haven't voted yet, please do so.
Poetry in Microfunding:
"Storm Wrack" (Path of the Paladins) is now complete. Read the discussion of what paladins are and how they come to be. "Peach Blossom Spring Village" (Kung Fu Robots) is also complete. Find out the robot's new name and occupation.
Torn World writing update:
Approved as canon: "Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal," (fiction), "Bitter Herbs" (poetry). Back to me for edits: "Seafoam Fashions," (poetry), "Half-Leg," "Northern Game: Bola-Ball," "Dolls in the Empire" (nonfiction). Currently in front of the canon board: "Catch and Release," "Dusting Off the Green Speech," "Doing the Work," "Breaking the Ice," (fiction), "Unlicensed Dreams" "The Colors of the Rainbow," "Something Big Is Coming" "How Skycat Got Her Name" "The Unicorn Surprise" "Nutterjell," "Imalye Fotolyi" (poetry), "Wild Herbivores of the North" "Ghost Bat" "A Dryland Ecosystem" "An Avian Ecosystem" (nonfiction). Drafted: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands," "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "Beached Fish," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" (fiction), "Patterns in the Grass". It has been warmer and intermittently damp here. Grass is growing lushly. The barrel garden is fully planted and I trimmed around it yesterday. The herb gardens have lots of new plants too. Little green fruits are visible on some of the fruit trees.
