It got me thinking about perception vs. reality. Sometimes what we perceive has a more powerful influence on us than what is really there. So it can be more effective to solve problems by altering perceptions than by altering reality. Perception is what we notice about the world, and that can often be influenced by actions and patterns of thought. For the magical/Pagan folks, perception is also much more malleable than reality is, using the lever of spellcraft.
