Diverting Asteroids

This article discusses some possible ways of diverting largish asteroids that might hit the Earth.

I first thought "gravity tractor" might refer to actual early steps toward graviton technology. Alas, it only refers to using the mass of a spacecraft to tug an asteroid slightly off course. That's still a good thing.
