My Writings on Death

I like death escorts and death deities, so I write about death -- and Death -- fairly often. I am collecting some of those here after my mother passed away on 12/26/21.

Warning: Since all this stuff deals with deep and often challenging topics, please consider your tastes and headspace before reading onward. In any case, it's probably not prudent to binge-read all of these at the same time.

First Snow

It snowed for the first time, a little after midnight, enough to make white swaths on the ground.

This is the first time that it didn't snow in November or December.  It didn't snow until January.  The weather is weirding.  0_o

Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and cold. It snowed a little last night.

I fed the birds. I've seen several cardinals and a flock of sparrows. Probably others too, but the windows are mostly iced over so it's hard to see.
