Dry February

February, the heart of California's rainy season, may yield no rain this year due to a high-pressure system redirecting storms into Washington.

Well, they're fucked.  Water shortages and a devastating fire season will follow.  O_O

Just in case anyone needed more reasons to get while the getting's good.

Birdfeeding

Today is mild and mostly cloudy.  I fed the birds.  I saw a large flock of geese flying overhead, going northwest.

Some of the daffodils by the parking lot are up as high as my hand.  Tulips, crocus, iris, and daylilies are all up too.  None of the trees or bushes show signs of leafing out yet, which is good.
