Growing a Salad

Learn about what to grow for a great salad mix.

I typically buy spring mix and then add stuff to it.  I am especially fond of throwing in a cup or so of mixed herb leaves and/or flower petals.  Basil leaves are delicious and come in diverse colors and shapes.  Marigolds give a ton of petals in many colors.

Asexual Awareness Week: The Asexuality Spectrum

For Asexuality Awareness Week, I present an overview of some orientations and identities along the spectrum of asexuality and aromance. There are doubtless more, so feel free to add those in a comment if you know of others.

Note that there are many different definitions of what "is" or "is not" on the asexuality spectrum. We are not going to argue about those here. If you identify as ace, you're ace. If someone else uses a different definition, that's fine too. Don't try to force your definitions on anyone else, and generally, don't be a dick. It's hard enough being QUILTBAG in a flat-sheet world without picking on each other too.

Furthermore, if you are uncertain of your relational leanings or have not examined them closely, consider your headspace before reading onward. Epiphanies can be disorienting. You might want to make sure you have a support person and/or time to process in case you need it.

Thursday Yardening

Today is cloudy, cool, and calm. 

Birds are swarming the feeders.  :D  I saw dark-eyed juncoes, doves, sparrows, goldfinches, cardinals, and a downy woodpecker.  I refilled the feeders too.

I finished planting the Ice Follies around the white garden.  There were just enough left to fill the gap.  \o/

Composing Magic

I have permission to post this piece about my book Composing Magic -- which, by the way, has earned out its advance and started to earn royalties. \o/ I am charmed by how much this resembles my original pitch for writing the book. That's pretty much the list of goals I had in mind for it. :D
