Today's Cooking

We are making Cutie Joes.  In addition to the mixed cherry tomatoes, we scored heirloom beefsteak tomatoes and a pound of grass-fed ground beef. \o/  We will definitely be eating the rainbow with this, as there are pink, red, orange, yellow, green, and brown/purple tomatoes in there.  They looked so cheerful in the bowl waiting to be used, and I enjoyed watching the changing patterns of tomato juice on the cutting board.

Sometimes I am easily amused.  :D

If you like sloppy joe-type sandwich filling and assorted tomatoes, I highly recommend this recipe. The mixed cherry tomatoes really make it sweeter and more complex.  It's a good use of mixed heirloom beefsteaks too.

Sunday Yardening

Today was cloudy and mild.  I picked a bowl of herbs to put in the Cutie Joes later.  \o/  Being able to pick food out of my yard makes me happy.
