The April 7, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl generated a good deal of poetry and donations. Thank you all! Currently open is the
free epic poll and I'll add the half-price and general fund polls when I have time.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"Settled" is the third piece of the Polychrome Heroics triptych about the fight at SPOON.  There are 20 new verses, in which Hannah and Aidan present some new family rules to Danso.

Torn World writing update:
Approved as canon: "Unicorns on Parade" "Spruce Deer" "Wandering the Heights" (poetry).  Back to me for edits: "Winterheart" (parts 2-3), "Stinging Like Nettles"  "Off the Clock" (poetry).  Currently in front of the canon board: "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction). Drafted: "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands (Parts 1-4)," (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry), "Southern Breads" "Tangleweed Article" (articles), Jularei (character sheet).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes," "Broken Hopes," "Brewing Beauty," "Little Paws in the Licenses" (fiction), "The Smallest Invaders," "Raising the Future" "Beach Pies" "Unsolid Ground" (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

It has been warm and damp here.  Snow crocus are done.  Snowdrops, daffodils, jonquils, giant hyacinths, grape hyacinths, forsythia, and wild violets are blooming.  Gold currants and redbuds are almost ready to bloom.  The first asparagus spears are sprouting, so should be ready to eat today or tomorrow.  Of the two mourning dove nests, the one next to the kitchen window under the patio roof (two eggs) is still active, while the one in the crotch of a walnut tree (one egg) has been eaten.  I have seen a flicker in the yard, a thrush near the fly-through feeder, and a goldfinch on the thistle sock in addition to the usual female cardinal, sparrows, and mourning doves.

I'm thrilled to announce that [personal profile] dialecticdreamer has launched her own crowdfunding project, Magpie Monday, to be held the second Monday of each month. Reply with prompts and get at least a page of prose privately, or a poem if you prefer. Signal boosts extend the length of your fill. Further perks are available too. The author currently has four original worlds active; you can prompt for any of those or something new. Go play!

This poem is spillover from the February 3, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by a prompt from [community profile] trope_bingo fest.
